My original intent was to fix it up a little and sell it.
Well, those days are long gone and now that I gutted it and rebuilt the floor, I'm putting in seats and live well, rod holders and fishing platform in the rear and will cleanup the bow platform.
This is boat is a Yukon Delta. It is 18 feet long by 7 1/2 wide. Tri-hull provide great stability on the water and this boat will handle the roughest water. Yukon Delta is well known for making house boats and to date, I've not seen any thing available on-line on any boat less than 24' in length.
I have a 60HP Evenrude and controls on her, a cable steering system. I put a new throttle cable on the motor. I'm converting a nice Igloo cooler into a live well. I'm debating about adding another live well for the fish but that will require additional plumbing. Maybe a winter project if global warming continues to make the winters mild in the Chicago area.
Heavy duty aluminum transom will handle up to 150HP motors. There is a 24 gallon aluminum gas tank mounted in the bow section. It cost $300 to fabricate.
I bought a roller trailer and added 6" to the frame to bring the boat above the wheel fenders. The old trailer you see in the photos has a problem with the keel sticking below the rear frameing support. Also, the motor is too low and the sked drags on the ground when it's in run configuration.
